iXS Sign Freeride Star Matt Hunter

At 27 years of age, Matt Hunter is one of the big names in the sport of freeriding.

For the next two years, the Canadian mountain bike professional is going to rely on protective gear from iXS Sports Division. Matt Hunter launched his career in 2003 by entering an online video contest called "Ultimate Freeride Challenge". He made it to the finals and won the public poll, which resulted in his first sponsorship deals. Soon after, his first appearances in movies followed: After all, moving pictures are where Hunter’s dynamic riding style comes to full effect. No wonder the Canadian focuses on movies and photo shootings rather than racing or participating in contests.

Meanwhile, Matt Hunter has become one of the big names in the sport, representing his long-time bike sponsor Specialized in the world of freeriding together with this team mate Darren Berrecloth – thanks to appearances in movies such as «Seasons» and «Follow Me». By signing his two-year contract, Hunter joins a select
line-up of freeriding’s big names who rely on iXS Sports Division’s protective gear. Apart from Matt Hunter, this line-up includes riders such as Darren and Ryan Berrecloth, Richie Schley, Josh Bender and Hans Rey.
