A Day at The Track for Molson World Team

MOLSON WORLD TEAM Elite Athlete, Rich Thomas hooked up with, MOLSON’S car racing department, VW Racing Cup, race driver Tom Wilson for a day’s testing at a superbly sunny Castle Combe Race Circuit in the South West of England for an insight into the inner workings of the new and exciting project to take the MOLSON name forward in the four wheeled motorsports department. Tom is new to the grid but he and the team are working hard to get to the front in the VW Racing Cup series this year.

We took the factory MWT Nukeproof along for some pictures with the car and crew as Molson’s owners, Jonner’s ‘stumpy’ Wilson and Robin ‘flat out’ Powell where on hand at the test session.


We had a superb day with the crew and the interest level towards our piece of two wheeled engineering was massive.



Rich and Tom where able to discuss testing and racing mentality as there are similarities in the state of mind for the Downhill Mountainbike racer and the Qualifying lap mentality of a race car driver. A lot of positives where taken from the day and Tom and the crew will all be out for some coaching sessions on the team’s Nukeproof Scalp and Mega’s very soon to increase fitness and test the size of the ‘hairy boys!’
