Ghost Bike Check - Lisa Osl

Whilst at the Dalby round of the XC World Cup a few weeks ago I managed to get a few minutes with Ghost central Pro Team rider Lisa Osl, and her mechanic. Lisa got a 13th at this event, which given that it was the first event on the World Cup calendar, she was quite happy with - Lisa is currently the reigning Womens Elite World Cup Champion - having the best overall results over the 2009 series.

Lisa's race bike was a work of art, coming in at a scant 7.65kg! They were very keen to point out that every single part on the bike is available off the shelf to the consumer.

The main difference with Lisa's bike is that it is built around the 2009 HTX Lector frame, rather than the newer 2010 version, which is stiffer at the front end due to it's tapered steerer tube provision. Lisa told me that she just isn't heavy enough to need this extra rigidity, so stuck with the 'older' frame as it is slightly lighter. You can see other nods to Lisa's lack of bulk in items such as the standard clamp diameter Syntace bars. Full spec is:
Frame - Ghost '09 HTX Lector
Fork - Magura Durin
Wheels - Tune Olympic Gold, which feature heavily machined Tune Princess hubs with carbon sandwhich flanges, and re-labelled Stan's rims.
Drivetrain - SRAM XX using KMC chain and Nokon cable outers.
Brakes - Magura Marta SL
Saddle - Tune KommVor
Post - Tune
Seatclamp - Tune
Stem - Syntace F99
Bars - Syntace Duralite
Pedals - Crank Brothers Eggbeater Quad Ti
Tyres - Schwalbe Racing Ralph run tubeless with Stan's sealant.

all topped off with super-light bar tape instead of grips!

Lisa warms down after the opening round of the XC World Cup at Dalby, North Yorkshire.
